•We are working with a skeleton crew, basically, as few employees as possible to reduce the person to person contact.
•Each PT is seeing only 1 patient at a time, each for an hour, with the previous patient being walked out, cleaning/disinfecting performed afterwards, and then the next patient being walked into the clinic.
•Screening each patient in the parking lot before bringing them into the clinic. Screening includes temperature taken and a questionnaire performed and signed, each visit.
•Only the patient is allowed into the clinic, unless a minor or a non-English speaker with that person’s interpreter, and that parent/guardian or interpreter will also have to pass a screen.
•The waiting room is not being used, as the patient and parent/guardian or translator is then taken straight to the treatment area.
•The staff wears masks and gloves (mandatory) when treating patients, with proper hand washing and/or hand sanitizer being used, according to CDC guidelines.
•Unfortunately, and per the same guidelines, we are not treating those patients in the high risk categories, specifically those over 60 years of age, those with respiratory illnesses, or those with multiple co-morbidities.
Here at Scott Physical Therapy we are taking every precaution necessary to fight the COVID-19 and other contagious diseases as a courtesy and safety measure to all involved. We will remain open during this time to treat those in need, and hope that you will consider us if the need arises.
In the meantime, stay safe!
